Hello Bobcat Families!

I am so happy to be serving as your Principal for the 2024-2025 school year. It has been my absolute pleasure and highlight of my career to be a part of the John Gutierrez Middle School administrative team for the past two school years. I feel honored to be able to continue serving at this incredible school, serving alongside our talented team of staff and educators.

I have been in education for 15 years, serving as a teacher in both the elementary setting and middle school setting, as well as serving as an academic coach. I am passionate about education and creating a safe, compassionate, and inclusive space where ALL students can thrive and find success.

This year I am looking forward to working with our new Assistant Principal, Ms. Natalia Macias, and our incredible teachers, to continue to provide quality instruction for all of our Bobcat scholars. We look forward to working closely with our families and community to help us to reach our student goals and to help all of our Bobcats reach their full potential here at JGMS.

It has been an incredible experience being able to serve our community, students, families and staff here at John Gutierrez Middle School. We invite you to join us for school site council, ELAC, community events, sporting events, and any other ways you would like to get involved. Our families are the backbone of our school, and your support means everything to us. I am looking forward to another amazing school year and continuing to build on our tradition of excellence. Go Bobcats!

Sincerely,

Tina Ramos

Principal

Hello John Gutierrez Community,

I am excited to join Principal Ramos and the John Gutierrez Middle School community. I have over 25 years in education: 15 years as a Middle and Elementary School teacher and 10 years as a Vice Principal and Principal. I taught 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades in Pico Rivera, California, where the demographics are similar to this community. I look forward to building relationships with our students in order to engage and connect them to school and learning. I will work closely with Principal Ramos to ensure teachers, students, and families have the necessary tools to meet the needs of all of our students. I highly value building partnerships with families, so please feel free to reach out to me; my door is always open. I encourage you to attend our Parent Committee meetings- it is important to me to understand your needs so that we can best support you. I have two college students, myself, and clearly understand the challenges our students now face in an increasingly challenging world. Thank you for teaming with us to build a culture of excellence.

All the best,

Natalia Macias
