Important Update Regarding Social Media Policies and Student Privacy

Santa Rita Union School District is aware of recently announced changes to Meta’s policies affecting platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, as well as the subsequent announcement that implementation of these changes has been postponed.

We understand that evolving social media policies can raise valid questions regarding student privacy and data security within our educational community.

Protecting the privacy, safety, and digital well-being of our students remains a top priority. Our leadership team is carefully assessing these developments to evaluate any potential impact on how our district communicates and shares information online.

Social media provides an important opportunity to celebrate our students, recognize the dedication of our staff, and keep families and community members connected to the wonderful things happening throughout our schools. We value these connections and remain committed to maintaining them responsibly.
